Hogen Industries History

Hogen Industries, Inc., was founded in 1959 by Tom Hogen in Cleveland, OH. It produced a line of copper and silver tungsten composites. In 1995, Allan C. Bir purchased Hogen Industries from the original ownership.

Our location has been expanded from the original building with the acquisition of a second building. The total site comprises 85,000 sq. ft. of production, sales, and maintenance operations. Hogen Industries currently operates with 100 employees.

Today, we're a leader in the production of tungsten-related products. Our customer base numbers over 5,000, and the company services a myriad of industries. Our tungsten products are used in such industries as aerospace, as ballast weights; medical, as radiation shielding; and homeland security, in scanning and detection. Tungsten materials are found in the oil well industry, in exploration and drilling; the automotive industry, when welding; and in the defense industry, with ordnance materials.

As we look towards the future, we see continued growth, and view our company as the standard by which all others will be measured.
